Angela Garvey, Program Director of Kansas Drug Card (KDC) recently had the opportunity to tour both the NICU and Pediatric floors then present a donation check to Stormont Vail Health (Topeka, KS) to Sarah Basso, Program Manager, Children’s Miracle Network and Amy Burns, Executive Director of Stormont Vail Foundation. Leading the Pediatric floor tour was Francine Gollubthe wonderful Child Life Specialist who showed several examples during the tour of how the Children’s Miracle Network donation dollars are used to help provide medically necessary equipment as well as activity/play items for the young patients. A donation will be made to Stormont Vail Health each time a prescription is processed in their outreach area using the Kansas Drug Card.  KDC is proud to be a supporter of CMN in our local community!

As a proud supporter of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and the local CMN Hospitals in Kansas, the Kansas Drug Card and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals of Greater Kansas City (CMNKC) have worked together since the inception of our partnership to raise funds for local kids.  Efforts include participation in the local CMN Radiothon, book donation to CMN kids and local KU Pediatric practices of “When You’re Feeling Sick”, a picture book written by Coy Bowles of Grammy Award-winning Zac Brown Band.  Each time a prescription is processed through Kansas Drug Card a donation is made to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals of Greater Kansas City and this demonstrates how powerful each use is.
